1993: An article in the Cambridge Evening News is reproduced below. It was published shortly before our new Cambridge Show Centre opened. The article includes details of the trademark bungalow at the heart of every Summer show centre, partly for use as a sales office but also as a truly realistic setting for display conservatories: "... by the time it opens to the public gaze, on March 1, it will be the most added-to building in Mid-Anglia. It will be the host to no fewer than seven types of conservatory ..."

1996: The picture below shows Summer Garden Buildings receiving the ultimate acclaim at the 1996 Glassex Conservatory Competition awards ceremony. In previous years entry was restricted to customers of the sponsor, a conservatory roof supplier. As a rival manufacturer ourselves we were not allowed to enter but in 1996 these restrictions were relaxed. Following our success the normal restrictions returned in 1997.

A letter is reproduced below which confirms our success at the 1996 Glassex Conservatory Competition.

Dear (NAME)

Conservatory Competition Awards, Glassex 1996

I hope you enjoyed the presentation of your winners Belfry vouchers at Glassex. Ultraframe were very pleased to host this succesful competition once again.

Please find enclosed the final part of your prizes - cheques for the salesmen / surveyors involved in the project. Please pass on my congratulations to your staff and I hope they will find the time to enter again later this year.

Also enclosed is a photograph of you or your representative receiving the "handshake" from myself, plus a group winners photo. All five glass and glazing magazines have been circulated with a two page spread on the winners, and this should generate additional spin-off PR.

If we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely
